Confession & Communion at St. Vladimirís + Rule to Prepare for Communion
22/10/20, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Confession and Communion are the two sacraments we most often partake of as Orthodox Christians and thus it behooves us to learn about these, how to prepare for these, and how to best take advantage of the Grace that our Lord freely gives us in these sacraments. At St. Vladimirís we have created a special web site for this purpose with much information in this regard. Please find the web site listed below and please contact Fr. Gregory with questions!

Posted by Fr. Gregory

This Friday & Saturday we hold our all-English cycle of Divine Services at St. Vladimirís. This is a great opportunity to introduce our friends, loved ones, and neighbors to the beauty of the Orthodox Divine Services. But if you keep this secret they wonít know. As a rule we are very bad at secrets. Terrible actually. Yet this one we seems to do relatively well at keeping Ė and that is bad! Letís tattle! Letís tell! Letís gossip! Donít keep the cure for death that is the Orthodox Faith a secret Ė invite a friend, loved one, neighbor, stranger to our all-English services this weekend!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
21/10/20, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the childrenís portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Children: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

Emergency Cards Available
20/10/20, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

The diocese has provided each of our parishes with Emergency Cards. These cards are to be filled out and put in your wallet so that if it were ever to happen that you were in an accident or otherwise needed spiritual support, but could not speak for yourself, the authorities would find the card in your wallet and call Fr. Gregory to come to you. We hope none of our parishioners ever needs to use one of these cards, but it is a good idea to have one just in case. Please see Fr. Gregory if you have questions. Emergency cards can be found near the front doors - near the pamphlets that are available to all for free.
