The Pastoral School is pleased to offer both our Church Slavonic Classes this fall semester – beginning October 1 and running for 8 weeks. The beginning class is a requirement for all Pastoral Theology students. Both classes are excellent and taught by very experienced professors. The beginning class is taught by our own Natalia Yurievna Kondrashova!

Present students can simply register in Populi for these courses:

Church Slavonic (this is the required class)
Intermediate/Advanced Church Slavonic (this one is highly recommended)

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

UM and EMU students need rides to church. We would like to have one person who is the organizer of these rides. This point person would organize drivers who are willing and able to pick up students on Sunday morning. Please talk to Fr. Gregory if you can organize or if you are willing to drive. A little effort in this way can be a BIG help to students. Speaking of Fr. Gregory, he was picked up at his dorm every Sunday morning by Milo & Olga Radulovic for his entire freshman year. We can’t promise you we’ll get another priest out of this deal, but this is the right thing to do. Please help if you can!

DIVINE SERVICES WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2020

The single best way for us to pray for our friends and loved ones is to arrange for them to be remembered at the Divine Liturgy. We serve approximately 130 Divine Liturgies per year, so your friends or loved ones will be prayed for approximately every three days as a rule at St. Vladimir's. PRAYERS AT PROSKOMIDE

Fr. Gregory is available to bring Holy Communion to the sick, bless homes and apartments (or dorm rooms), or to provide spiritual support to any and all of our parish family whenever there is a need. Please do not hesitate to contact him! Too often those in need suffer in silence because they do not want to “bother” the priest. Fr. Gregory is here to serve our parish family – just as Christ came to minister so too is this the calling of the parish priest. You can reach Fr. Learning Orthodoxy is a class for adults who wish to learn more about the Orthodox faith. This class is open and accessible to all who wish to come, whether they are an Orthodox Christian or someone curious about Orthodox Christianity. Each week we will present a lesson followed by questions and answers. We will meet on Sunday afternoon following the parish meal following the Divine Liturgy.
