Most of us use amazon.com on some sort of regular basis. This is EXACTLY the same web site as amazon.com, but a portion of every dollar you spend goes to support St. Vladimirs. It is EASY, QUICK, and PAINLESS. Dear St. Vladimirs Parishioners! We would like to urge you to consider whether making a donation to the parish before December 31, 2018 would be helpful for you as you consider your tax liability for the year 2018. Donations to St. Vladimir Church are deductible to the greatest extent allowable by law. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in this regard. It is also very important that your address be up to date in our parish database. If you have moved this year please contact our parish Secretary, Alexandre Alexandrov, with your new address. -Mikhail Fisenkov, Treasurer (treasurer@stvladimiraami.org).

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
26/12/18, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the childrens portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Children: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

Congratulations to those Celebrating Nativity Today
25/12/18, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We congratulate all our parish friends and family who are celebrating the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ today. Although we will not celebrate for 13 days as a parish we understand that most of our society is celebrating today - and whether you celebrate today or in 13 days it is still remarkable and noteworthy that more than 2000 years after the birth of the Savior the world still pauses to note His Incarnation on this day. May this be the year that the hymn of the angels heard all those centuries ago over Bethlehem be actualized in our world: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, goodwill and peace.

Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
24/12/18, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

It is God, Who is merciful and grants everyone what he needs, Who is building him up when He gives him more than he needs; in doing so He shows the abundance of His love for men and teaches him to give thanks. When He does not grant him what he needs, He makes him compensate for the thing he needs through the working of the mind and teaches him patience.

Invite those in Need to Lunch Every Sunday
22/12/18, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We invite our parish family to invite friends and loved ones who are in need to our parish meal each Sunday at 1200. As a parish we have a responsibility and a desire to follow the Matthew 25 commandments of our Lord. This is a one small way in which we can do this. Spread the word! We are happy to have others join us for lunch!

For this reason we have provide the resources on our Catechism Resources page: books, articles, videos, and audio files. Please share the link with friend and loved ones and please feel free to access those resources for your own edification too!
